Honduras is Central America’s largest coffee producer and one of the world’s top four exporters. Over the last twenty years, it has earned international recognition not only for its output, but also for the outstanding quality of its beans.
This lot is produced by APROCERCHIL (Asociación de Productores de Café de Chiquilera), a cooperative established in 2013 in Corquín, Copán. What began with 91 growers committed to sustainability and community development has grown to 327 members. Together, they focus on cultivating high-quality coffee while safeguarding natural resources and strengthening local livelihoods.
Holding Organic, Fairtrade, and Rainforest Alliance certifications, APROCERCHIL exports approximately 1,660 metric tons each year to nine countries, including the United States, Spain, and Italy. The cooperative also supports reforestation, water stewardship, education, and healthcare programs within the community.
