COOPERATIVE
Grown in the northern highlands of Nicaragua, this coffee comes from UCA San Juan de Río Coco, a cooperative that brings together around 370 smallholder farming families. Founded in 1993, the cooperative has played a key role in helping farmers improve coffee quality, gain access to international markets, and build more sustainable livelihoods.

Coffee has been part of Nicaragua's story for generations, with the country's rich volcanic soils and high-altitude growing regions producing coffees known for their balance, sweetness, and complexity. The farms around San Juan del Río Coco benefit from cool mountain conditions that allow the coffee cherries to mature slowly, developing exceptional flavour and character.

Beyond coffee production, the cooperative invests in farmer training, infrastructure, and community development, helping members improve both quality and long-term sustainability. Their commitment to organic farming and fair trade practices supports both the environment and the families behind every harvest.

The result is a beautifully balanced coffee with a smooth body, natural sweetness, and the distinctive character that has made Nicaraguan coffee a favourite around the world.
